Infertility Coaching for
Latter-Day Saint Women

For a woman who yearns for a baby, infertility is one of the most heart-wrenching diagnoses she can receive. For Latter-day Saint women, it can be earth-shattering. Children form the basic tenets of what Latter-day Saints consider family, and motherhood is a large part of the church's DNA.

As  Latter-day Saint woman who has faced infertility and a mental health therapist, I consider infertility to

be a silent trauma because those who face this challenge often do so in silence and isolation, creating a sense of thwarted belonging. One woman once told me that she felt as if she was standing outside of the prettiest shop on the street, her nose and hands pressed against the glass with a "no admittance" sign on the door.

If you're dealing with infertility, I can help in a way that goes beyond tips and encouragement. (You can find my free tips here.) I've created a hybrid treatment plan that includes four 60-75-minute classes with five other students alongside four 50-minute private one-on-one sessions. I've chosen to keep this cohort small and exclusive in order to create safety and a sense of connection.

During our class time we'll explore:

  •  Reasserting your true identity as a child of God and strengthening your spiritual foundation and relationship with Christ.

  • Learning how to deal with the mine field of emotions that comes with an infertility diagnosis and creating emotional regulation and psychological flexibility in your day-to-day life.

  • How to move beyond getting stuck in fear, uncertainty, helplessness, and pain and lean into learned optimism, self-compassion, and acceptance.

You will also be taught:

  • How to advocate for yourself. This includes setting boundaries and learning to speak up for what you need.
  • How to create a self-care routine that can help you take care of yourself throughout your treatement and choices.

  • How to focus on what you're good at and what you enjoy outside of infertility.

  • How to create intentional and meaningful purpose now.

  • How to accept your diagnosis in a way that will help you feel more in control.

  • And much more

The goals of this program include:

  • Encouraging psychological flexibility that will not only serve you during this difficult time but throughout your life.

  • Keeping the infertility diagnosis in persective in order to protect your quality of life.

  • Strengthening your relationship with Heavenly Father and His Son.

Our four private sessions, we'll deepen the work done during class and also discuss whatever personal issues you may need to address regarding infertility.

This hybrid course is not for the faint of heart. We'll be discussing the pyschological, emotional, and spiritual struggles in detail while also offering evidence-based strategies that can help you navigate those challenges. You can expect strong and sometimes difficult feelings to arise during this process. Currently, this coaching opportunity is open for those suffering from primary infertility. I will be creating a coaching program for secondary infertility in the future.
